Stem Cells, they’ve been called the medical breakthrough of the century, promising to revolutionize medicine. They are “master cells,” able to transform themselves into specific cells, aiding the body in repair and renewal.
There are two types of stem cells, embryonic and adult. Embryonic stem cells, as the name implies, exist in the fertilized egg. These undifferentiated cells divide to become the vast variety of specialized cells throughout the body.
